Afriswitch Zambia
Africom expanded into Zambia as part of it’s regional
expansion in 2004. The core business of Afriswitch is basically
a replica of the Africom Zimbabwe business that is data communication
solutions ranging from premise cabling solutions to cutting
edge IP-based Data Telephony solutions. The launch of Afriswitch
was well received by the Zambian market which is currently
undergoing a lot of expansion across the whole industry sectors.
To date Afriswitch has scored a first by linking up 5 towns
in the copper belt for a mining concern using Wireless solution.
Afriswitch benefits a lot from the experience of it’s
parent company Africom Holdings who have remained focused
in the networking business for the past 10 years. Africom
Holdings enjoys Premier Partnership status with industry champions
that include Cisco, 3Com and Alvarion. These partnerships
allow Afriswitch to also benefit in terms of training and
discounts.
